Brianna Ohlsson
Construction Foreperson
Bri joined 43K in 2023 as a Builder 2 and quickly proved she was ready for more. Now a Construction Foreperson, she works closely with the Construction Manager to plan and prepare projects, then spends most of her time where she’s at her best—in the field, leading crews through hands-on supervision, mentorship, and problem-solving.
She brings a strong trade foundation to the role, having completed North Island College’s Carpentry Level 1 & 2 program in 2019, followed by several years of self-employment in residential construction. Drawn to work that was more challenging, remote, and dynamic, Bri made the move to 43K and into wilderness-based construction.
Since joining the team, she’s contributed to some of 43K’s more demanding projects, including trail work on the Juan de Fuca and Puntledge River trails, installation of urine diversion (UD) toilets in Cape Scott, construction of beach access stairs on Denman Island, and the transformation of a former welding shop into a mixed-use commercial, office, and residential space in Port McNeill.
Outside of work, Bri can usually be found riding her motorcycle, spending time with her dog, or adding to her tattoo collection. A new homeowner, she’s also keeping busy tackling an ever-growing list of renovation projects—because slowing down has never really been her style.
